Not only does June mark the start of summer, it also allows us to welcome the class of 2025 into the esteemed ranks of YU alumni. To all our longtime newsletter readers, please join me in wishing a hearty mazal tov and welcome to our newest alumni. Brachim Haba’im!
To our newest grads, welcome to the 70,000-plus strong YU alumni community! While you were a YU student for three or four years, you’ll be a YU alum forever – and that comes with amazing benefits. Visit our website at to see everything the alumni association has to offer!
YU has alumni around the globe, in communities from New York to California to Israel. YU alumni work in fields ranging from finance to entertainment to education to medicine, and they come together with each other and the university to learn, attend social events, network, and grow professionally and personally.
To get started, I encourage you to , sign up for affinity groups that interest you, and attend one of our upcoming alumni events. We have a happening on June 24, and you should keep your eyes peeled for information about the Young Alumni Summer Social in early September.
And perhaps most importantly, please reach out and say hello. My staff and I are always available to you, and we can't wait to see what you'll do next.

Important Information
Effective Thursday, June 5, 2025, you will need a 2025 Summer Validation sticker to access our campus buildings. Please stop by the Security Office in Strenger Hall to obtain a sticker. In the interim, please show the security officer your Spring 2025 ID card before you enter a building. In addition, all new alumni . Once approved, you’ll receive a confirmation email and then you can obtain your ID card from the Security Office.

- When Saving a Life Costs You Everything, the RIETS Bioethics & Jewish Law program, was a huge success. Alumni from around the world logged in on Monday, May 5, to explore the tension between halachic duty and medical ethics, discovering what halacha demands of physicians when the call to save a life clashes with patient autonomy. - Alumni came out in full force to march together with YU ĐÔ°®ĚěĚĂ and ĐÔ°®ĚěĚĂat the 77th annual Celebrate Israel Parade on Sunday, May 18.
- The 2025 alumni reunions sold out at this year’s Commencement as the classes of 1964, 1965, 1975 and 2000 gathered to celebrate their 25th, 50th, 60th and 61st reunions. Almost 100 alumni and friends gathered on Thursday, May 22, at Louis Armstrong Stadium at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, and the alumni donned academic attire and marched with this year’s graduates.

Whether you’re looking to volunteer for a few hours or a few days, we can connect you with impactful opportunities. From working on farms to tying tzitzit for soldiers or cooking for families with loved ones in miluim [reserve duty], we’re here to help match you with a project that makes a difference. Helping Students
Are you interested in helping ĐÔ°®ĚěĚĂ with things like quick rĂ©sumĂ© reviews, informational interviews and preparing for careers in your industry? Please consider joining the YU Mentoring Volunteer Program, a group of over 800 alumni willing to speak to ĐÔ°®ĚěĚĂ about career-related topics. Your commitment is extremely flexible, and you set the amount of availability you have for ĐÔ°®ĚěĚĂ per month. For any questions or help registering for YU-MVP, contact rebecca.terebelo@yu.edu.
