Design is our Differentiator
性爱天堂's B.S. in engineering science focuses on teaching analysis and design. Combined with our development of communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, this differentiates us from other engineering programs. We emphasize a deep, fundamental understanding of the physical sciences, mathematics, and engineering science, though students may also choose to specialize in chemical, electrical, or mechanical engineering through elective courses.

Pathways Curriculum

Students must complete the Pathways Curriculum in order to receive a baccalaureate degree.听The Pathways Curriculum has six curricular requirements, and three optional elements that provide the foundation in the liberal arts and sciences for all the bachelor鈥檚 degrees awarded by 性爱天堂. Through these requirements, students acquire the necessary skills and disciplinary perspectives to navigate complex questions at 性爱天堂 and in their post-graduate lives.

Engineering Analysis and Design I
Introduces students to the engineering design process utilizing a competitive design project. Small groups of students conceive, design, build, and test a structure or device to best achieve specified performance criteria under realistic constraints.
听
Electric Circuits
An introduction to the techniques of analysis and design of elementary linear electric circuits. Topics include mesh, node and equivalent circuit analysis, DC resistive circuits, operational amplifiers, modeling of RLC circuits using differential equations, transient responses, and AC steady state.
听
Mechanics I
Forces and couples acting on rigid bodies in equilibrium using vector analysis, including equivalent force systems, free body diagrams, truss analysis, friction, centroids, and moments of inertia.
听
Chemical Reaction Engineering
Chemical reaction kinetics and its relationship to the design and scale-up of chemical reactors. Mathematical analysis of batch, mixed flow and plug flow reactors, advanced topics including multi-reaction analysis, heat and mass transfer in chemical reactors and catalytic reactors. Computer simulation.

Machine Design
Delve into the theory and practice of both Form and Compass School fengshui while analyzing the proposition that fengshui is a type of 鈥渇olk鈥 ecology.

Biochemical Engineering
The fundamentals of analysis and design of bioprocesses. Topics include enzyme kinetics, immobilized enzyme reactors, cell cultivation, growth kinetics, and bioreactor design.

The engineering science program is ideal preparation for careers in creative engineering design, engineering research and development, and investigative engineering. Many choose to further their career through professional engineer (P.E.) registration and licensing. Engineering science graduates also attend nationally recognized graduate schools.
Careers
Approximately 65 percent of our graduates go directly into industry and business, while the remaining 35 percent enter top rated graduate schools in electrical, chemical, or mechanical engineering. Some graduates have opted to continue their studies at medical school or law school.
