About
Since the 1950s, Northrup Hall has served as the administrative nexus of 性爱天堂鈥檚 campus. The original Northrup was the first O鈥橬eil Ford designed building on campus and the first major building in the United States to be built using the innovative 鈥渓ift-slab鈥 technique.听
The new Northrup was completed in 2004 and constructed on the site of the original building. Northrup is located at the center of Upper Campus just north of the Coates Student Center and in front of Miller Fountain.
Admissions Center Lobby
Located on the main floor of Northrup, this space is the hub of the Office of Admissions, where prospective students and families meet with admissions counselors. Campus tours generally start and end in the Admissions lobby.
Northrup Foyer
Northrup's foyer is no stranger to events and gatherings. The wide open space features glass walls, a variety of art installations, and ample seating, where students can relax before their next class. 鈥嬧嬧嬧嬧嬧
Northrup Lecture Hall
Located on the bottom floor of Northrup, this space is perfect for large classes, lectures, and watch parties.
Miller Fountain
The acequia that lines the walk up to the building from Stadium Drive and the iconic Miller Fountain in the rear of the building are popular spots to relax between classes or while having a bite. 鈥嬧嬧嬧嬧嬧
Study Spaces
Northrup is a popular place to study, whether it鈥檚 outside on one of the Adirondack chairs that dot the landscape around the building or on one of the couches in the lobby and on the second or third floor.
Third Floor Patio
Northrup鈥檚 third-floor patio, located just outside of the Department of English, overlooks the building鈥檚 main entrance and is a popular space for studying and group meetings. 鈥嬧嬧嬧嬧嬧

Admissions Visitor Parking is available to general guests Monday - Friday after 5 p.m. and on weekends.

General Parking
Parking in Alamo Stadium is allowed between certain hours; Monday through Friday. Parking overnight and on weekends is not allowed.

The closest accessible parking spaces are in Lot A, directly in front of Northrup. Accessible parking spaces near Northrup Hall are also available in the Orange Level of the Laurie Auditorium parking garage.
