A Message from the Assistant Director

My name is Mindy Tran Champion (she/her) and I am the Assistant Director for Orientation and Transitions in the office of Student Involvement.

I am one of many faculty and staff on campus who are eager to meet you and get to know you during Spring New Tiger Orientation (SNTO). ÌýWe are excited you have chosen ÐÔ°®ÌìÌà as your next home.Ìý

Your SNTO experience is going to be worthwhile and exciting as you embark on your next journey. Should you have any questions regarding orientation or about ÐÔ°®ÌìÌÃ, don't hesitate to contact me.

What to Expect

About Spring New Tiger Orientation (SNTO)

SNTO is an orientation for new students to learn and experience all things ÐÔ°®ÌìÌà from the beloved traditions to the rigorous academics to the breathtaking views and lush greenery.

ÌýÌýBuild Community with your fellow transfer students

ÌýÌýTake care of important business, such as academic group advising.

ÌýÌýResidence hall move-in (for on-campus students)

Ìý A campus tour hosted by your Orientation Team leaders

Orientation Guide

This guide contains all of the important information that you don’t want to miss.

Ìý
Orientation Preparation

Bring a laptop, tablet, or a writing pad and pen to all orientation sessions.
Some workshops and sessions will have handouts while others may suggest you write crucial notes or important dates for your knowledge.Ìý

Dietary Restrictions

Several meals during your orientation experience will be provided to you.Ìý
Contact Mindy Tran Champion at mtran@trinity.edu if you have anyÌýdietary restrictions (i.e. nut allergy, vegetarian, vegan, kosher, etc.)

Language Placement Exams

All language placement exams will take place online. Students will receive emails with language exam information individually.

Submit Photo for Tiger Card (TU ID)

Deadline: January 2, 2024

All new students are required to submit a valid headshot of their Tiger Card photo.
The Tiger Card is your all-access student ID card from accessing meal plans, laundry, printing, off-campus dining, and more.

On-Campus Student Employment

If you plan on working on or off-campus during your time at ÐÔ°®ÌìÌÃ, please remember to bring appropriate forms of identity required for filling out your I9 documentation.Ìý

It is imperative that you bring original versions of all necessary documents, copies will not be accepted (this is a Homeland Security requirement, not a ÐÔ°®ÌìÌà requirement).

Make sure you have all of your essentials when packing and moving into your room or to San Antonio.Ìý

Come to the biannual Student Involvement Fair hosted by Student Involvement. This is your chance to meet 113+ of our student organizations and sign up to get involved. You will make great friends and memories through these organizations, and as a student leader you will get multiple opportunities to learn about leadership at ÐÔ°®ÌìÌà and how it extends to your career goals post-graduation.

Hi I am Ivy!! I am a sophomore from Cypress, TX (Houston area) and I am majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. On campus I am involved in greek life (Sigma Theta Tau), admission ambassador, Tigerthon, and the Vietnamese Student Association (VSA). I cannot wait to meet everyone and I am so excited to welcome everyone!!

Outside of O-Team, I am also a member of our Student Programming Board and a University Tour Guide. I also love live music, trying new restaurants, reading, and watching movies!

Hey there! My name is Maggie Enriquez and I'm an Environmental Studies major and International Studies minor here at ÐÔ°®ÌìÌÃ. Around campus, I am the President of Cat Alliance ÐÔ°®ÌìÌÃ, I'm a tour guide, and I play the clarinet with a few ensembles in the music department. In my free time I love to spend quality time with my best friends, I take care of my ESA cat named Sophie, and I like to discover new music and podcasts.
