Students launch their own for-profit and non-profit ventures, keeping 100% of their intellectual property. Our ventures compete in state, national, and international pitch competitions winning thousands of dollars to support their ventures. They also participate in regional and national incubator and accelerator programs such as .

You're not alone. Alumni and community entrepreneurs are available to help students and their ventures. Coaches are available to help students 1-on-1 from idea to launched ventures through . Mentoring is available for those students and alumni who have launched a venture through �԰�����'s Venture Mentoring Service.��

Study Abroad

Summer in Madrid
Run by �԰�����’s Center for International Engagement and led by faculty from the Mexico, Americas and Spain program, the six-week summer in Madrid isn’t your average study abroad experience. Not only do students take unique courses led by �԰����� faculty and explore the culture of Madrid and surrounding areas, but they’re also matched to internships with Spanish companies.

These companies, often looking to expand their international footprint, have even hired certain Tigers to keep working even after they return to campus the following semester.

Venturing Abroad
As part of your study abroad experience, take your new venture concept with you and figure out how do some aspect of your business abroad.�� Will you manufacture abroad? Open a key international partnership? Establish a key foreign market? Use your time to take risks and learn what��its like to operate internationally.

Experiential Learning

�԰����� Accelerator Program
Exclusive to Stumberg finalists, the Summer Accelerator gives student founders the chance to do paid work on their own startup. This program is structured around a 10-week course that empowers each startup to focus on establishing real milestones and metrics for evaluating their progress.

With your paid summer internship through , you’ll experience the exciting, stressful, and immensely rewarding life as a startup company employee. You’ll meet entrepreneurs who’ve built their companies from the ground up, and start building your professional network in the San Antonio startup scene. Students + Startups brings the best, most exciting young companies in San Antonio directly to you, matches your interests to their opportunities, and provides the challenges to expand your skill-set.

Center for the Sciences and Innovation
At CSI, �԰����� entrepreneurs have access to a world of resources. From personal office space and high-tech classrooms to the CSI Makerspace—a machine and engineering shop just feet from Entrepreneurship headquarters—CSI has the tools you need to turn your startup from an idea on a whiteboard into a real product, service, or venture.

Entrepreneurship Hall
Kick back in �԰�����’s unique residential space for student entrepreneurs, available to all Tigers . This unique living environment helps our students unleash their creativity, collaboration, and enterprising energy: Here, future business partners have met while cooking, doing laundry, or even brushing their teeth.

Student Awards and Recognition

Stumberg Venture Competition
Launch a business at �԰�����’s premier, annual two-part pitch competition. After the spring seed round, the judges choose five startup finalists to receive a $5,000 prize. These five finalist teams then compete for the grand prize of $25,000 in the final round the following fall.
